More than 30,000,000 people in the US and 200 million worldwide have a Thyroid Disorder Most affected are women. Some estimates are over 50 million in US and over 200 million worldwide, and growing.

Estimates vary widely as most patients are misdiagnosed or undiagnosed because doctors don't know what they are looking for.

Thyroid Diet – What is a “Clean Diet”?

If you want your thyroid and overall health back, you must eat a clean diet as your “new normal” lifestyle.

Clean eating is a pretty simple concept. It has a lot to do with being mindful of the food’s pathway between its origin and your plate.

At its simplest, clean eating is about

  • eating whole foods, or “real” foods — those that are un- or minimally processed, refined, and handled, making them as close to their natural form as possible.
  • embracing whole foods like vegetables, fruits and whole gluten-free grains
  • plus healthy proteins and fats
  • cutting back on refined grains (and in our case gluten-free), pesticides, additives, preservatives, meats with antibiotics, unhealthy fats and large amounts of sugar and salt.
