THYROID DISEASE IS KILLING US

More than 30,000,000 people in the US and 200 million worldwide have a Thyroid Disorder Most affected are women. Some estimates are over 50 million in US and over 200 million worldwide, and growing.

Estimates vary widely as most patients are misdiagnosed or undiagnosed because doctors don't know what they are looking for.

Thyroid disease is also an autoimmune disease. This means that over 27 million people have one or more of the over 105 known autoimmune diseases.

Thyroid Diet – The Produce Clean Fifteen List

food - grocery bag with produce - recycle symbol on bag

There’s the Produce Dirty Dozen, a list of produce to buy organic to stay away from the overuse of pesticides, and then there is this list, The Produce Clean Fifteen. The writers of this research say that you don’t have to buy organic for these as they are grown in a way that don’t use pesticides as much.

I still buy organic more often than not just to be safe. It’s your call.

The Produce Clean Fifteen

  1. Asparagus
  2. Avocados
  3. Cabbage
  4. Cantaloupe
  5. Sweet corn (buy organic as corn is the #1 GMO’d food)
  6. Eggplant
  7. Grapefruit
  8. Kiwi
  9. Mangos
  10. Mushrooms
  11. Onions
  12. Papayas
